Replacing Faulty Button Light
2-Piece Super Bright LED Button Light Kit

I currently have two sets of button lights installed for the midship lighting on my Hobie PA14. One of the lights is faulty. When trying to remove the button light by turning it counter clockwise, it just turns but never advances out of the hull of the kayak. I didn't install the lights but from the videos I have watched it seems like the lights are just threaded into the plastic of the hull. Am I mistaken on how these lights are installed? Any suggestions on the best way to remove these lights for replacement would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Patrick

Most installations people use just the self tapping threads. But, the leds also come with a backing nut so the installer could have used it also.
