Is YP-LDR50 necessary to use the YP-RP5R with a trolling motor if battery has a 50-amp breaker already?
YP-RP5R Five Circuit Power Panel Switching System
My battery already has a 50-amp breaker. Given that, is the YP-LDR50 heavy-duty relay still needed to use the YP-RP5R switching panel with a trolling motor?

Yes, the relay handles the amperage from the trolling motor. The Switching system is rated for 15 amps. So using a trolling motor without an external relay will cause the switch to fail. The breaker on the relay is just an added bonus, having 2 breakers will not effect the setup.
