New YP-RP5 switch blowing fuses.
YP-RP5R Five Circuit Power Panel Switching System
I bought a used Ascend 133x kayak that had an older YP-RP5 switch installed. The switch would cut all power after a few minutes. I replaced it with a new YP-RP5 switch and now the 20amp fuse blows whenever I crank the trolling motor up to full speed. I didn't have the blown fuse issue before the old switch was replaced and none of the wiring has changed. The only things I have on the circuit are a motorguide trolling motor and a Hummingbird Helix 5 fish finder. Im not sure what to check. Thank you.

The switch is not rated for a trolling motor. The system is a 15 amp maximum. to run a trolling motor off the switch you need an additional module.
