What do you recommend to winterize relay and connectors?

I store my kayaks outside over winter on a rack. Should I pull the relay? What is the best way to protect or clean all the connections? I notice there is some corrosion or scaling at the end of the summer.

You can clean the connectors with a brass or plastic brush. Put a thin coat of dielectric grease on the metal connectors. Also you can leave the switch installed but i would take a battery and power the unit up for a couple minutes once a month. This will keep the capacitors in the relay box from deteriorating.
