Low grade polyethylene doesn't start to melt until 220 degrees, you should be fine. Some of our team guys use such batteries with no problems.
Is it normal for the button LED lights get very hot to the touch while using a 14.8V lithium battery? 2-Piece Super Bright LED Button Light Kit
Aluminum housings are getting very hot to the touch while I was testing my layout. Concerned that it would damage the rotomolded plastic on a Hobie PA due to the heat generated and elongate the holes. I'm using a Amped Outdoors 19Ah 14.8V battery. All four button lights appear to be the same temp. I measured around 120-130 DegF. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Thanks!
