How waterproof are your switchers?

I recently installed your YP-RP5CS3 Serious Complete System in a kayak. At present the switcher and varies connectors are at the bottom of the hull. I was curious about how waterproof are the box and connectors? Can they withstand laying in a water or should they be elevated off the kayak inner floor?

All Yak Power switchers are waterproof. We suggest putting a light coat of dielectric grease on the connector plugs. The relay box is full of an epoxy potting material to keep water off of the internal circuit board. That being said, however, mounting the switch so it is not bouncing around in the bottom of your kayack when traveling or sitting in water all of the time while you are out fishing is recommended.
