How do I keep from twisting the wire off my button light?

I was trying to install your LED Button lights and ended up twisting one of the wires off at the light when installing. What is the best way to install the button leds.

Make sure to lay your wire out straight inside the kayak before screwing in the light. If there is a pile of wire around the hole on the inside of the kayak, the wire will bunch up and will end up breaking off. Also if you spin the LED light 3 complete turns counter clockwise BEFORE starting to xxxx it into the kayak, the wire will not be in a bind when you xxxx the light in.
